Not the Stanley Cup

Last night our game camera captured a raccoon and a skunk as they waited for the ref to drop the puck. There were no other photographs of the two species together; perhaps they don't get along very well. The photographs that were taken afterward (the camera snaps them every 30 seconds) showed the skunk alone, suggesting that he won the face-off and the coon took his skates home in a snit.

  1. The camera seems to be working out pretty well. Are you planning on taking it south for the winter for some shots of urban wildlife? I bet that you will catch many of the same types of critters.

  2. Oh, yes. Maybe then I can get a photo of the family of possums that is suspected to live under our backyard deck.

  3. A squirrel and a skunk trump a deer and a domestic rabbit gone wild! Nice.

  4. I'm hoping for a bear and a wolf, but the Lady Friend won't let me put a nicely aged haunch of lamb out in the back yard to attract them.
