Bill, recently retired, is sitting on the sofa.
His wife, Linda, adjusting to his constant presence, tries to be diplomatic.
"What are you doing today?" she asks brightly.
"Nothing," he replies.
"Didn't you do that yesterday," she snaps.
Bill looks at her and smiles.
"I wasn't finished," he says.
