Hugs to all. It's a good way to say hello and good-bye.
My Mom's family has always been a hugging family. We have two family reunions a year and every time some one comes or goes, hugs all around. I grew up with it so didn't think anything of it, but watching new family members at their first gathering getting hugs from family they've never met yet it's an interesting thing. Before you know it, they're the first to hug the next people to show. My Dad's family isn't the hugging type, in fact my Grandma was so stiff that seemed like she would break if she were hugged too tightly. After she died Grandpa became more huggy and I took care of him at Long Term and those were the best hugs ever!

Amy, if that idea could be imported to the Middle East, perhaps folks could be persuaded to throw down their Uzis and AK-47s . . .
ReplyDeleteApparently they also had an event in Pakistan :)
