Tinkering, tinkering . . .
With my web site, that is. Yesterday I suffered an unaccustomed attack of ambition and redid part of the home page of www.henrykisor.com so that it emphasized the mystery novels rather than the entire lineup of books. Simpler and sleeker, maybe.
Now, a favor, please: Would you go to the site and have a look? If anything seems amiss -- if stuff doesn't line up squarely, for example -- please let me know, either in a comment below or e-mail. Please specify the browser you are using and whether you are on a PC or Mac.
Thanks, and Merry Thanksgiving. Slap another ladleful of gravy on your mashed potatoes and don't be niggardly with the cranberry sauce.

I haven't been over here in ages! The website looks good, but for me, it loads slowly.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving and may you get the larger part of the wishbone!
Thanks, Karen. The slow loading may have been because of server slowness, or possibly you are on a slower DSL connection instead of high-speed broadband. In any case the new website page is likely cached on your computer and will load almost instantly next time.
ReplyDeleteVery clean and sharp. I might bump up the "Author of..." line a bit. Loads fine in Firefox 3.0.4
ReplyDeletePete, did you mean to move the line up higher on the page, or to increase the text size?
ReplyDeleteI came over via a link from Karen above. Loads fine on an iPhone! That's similar to apple safari.
ReplyDeleteI always use www.browsershots.org to check my sites.
Your new look is very clean and bright, pleasing to the eye. I'm using Firefox 3.0.4 and it looks perfectly aligned and loads quickly even on the low wireless signal I'm getting. Great picture of the Munson and the lighthouse. Just finished Cache of Corpses which I had been saving for a rainy (snowy) day and enjoyed it a lot. Going to recommend it to a friend who I introduced to geocaching that lives in the area. Going to re-read the 1st one to enjoy the characteristics appropriated from my friend Ruth just to remember her this holiday season. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteI use Firefox and it looks perfect :)
